NO, persons with implants, pacemakers and non-mri comfortable materials cannot get an MRI done.
It depends on the body part. CT of the abdomen and pelvis, angiograms and contrast media scan requires about 6-8 hrs fasting. non-contrast and other parts can be done without fasting.
YES. ultrasound scans are done to check if one is pregnant and also to examine the unborn child’s growth and abnormalities.
NO. generally only women from 40 years and above can get a breast screening, ,mammogram is also done for males but for diagnostic purposes. however women below 40years can be given consideration for a mammogram.
NO. HSG test is done between the 8-11th day from the onset of menstruation.
NO. you can walk in at any time and get your x-ray done.
Most test results are ready same day. However, availability may vary depending on the type of test. Your physician is provided with the results as soon as they are complete.
This is dependent upon the type of blood tests ordered. Your physician should tell you if the test(s) require fasting (no eating, drinking, gum chewing, etc.).

According to State and Federal Regulations, DLS must receive an order from your physician/health care provider before any laboratory tests can be performed (with the exception of the self-administered Veri-5 Drug Testing Kit). Your physician/health care provider will give you a DLS requisition (test order form) to show which tests he/she has ordered.
No physician order is necessary for a self-administered drug test such as the Veri-5 Drug Testing Kit. Simply follow the collection directions that come with the kit. Drop off the specimen at any DLS locations and you’ll be able to access your confidential results the next working day.
TMT (Tread Mill Test) is the recording of heart’s electrical activity while it is under the stress of increased physical demand. This is also known as exercise tolerance test or Cardiac Stress test. Chest, arms and legs are involved in TMT test. The TMT at Clinix Diagnostics assess the heart muscle’s response to the need for additional oxygen, which occurs during increased physical activity.
The uses of TMT are:
• To evaluate if complaints of chest pain are related to the heart
• To determine if blockages exist in a coronary artery or arteries supplying the heart with oxygen-rich blood
(coronary heart disease or CHD)
• To identify an irregular heart rhythm that only occurs during activity
• To monitor the heart’s response to cardiac treatment or a procedure to open a coronary artery
• To determine a safe level of participation before the start of an exercise regimen
• To plan the pace and intensity of rehabilitation after a heart attack
• To screen for the presence of asymptomatic CHD in certain high risk people
The Renal Ultrasound test uses sound waves to study the renal system, which includes the kidneys, bladder and uterus.
The test involves kidneys, bladder, uterus, abdomen and back.
The patient should avoid carbonated drinks, such as sodas and seltzers before the test. The patient must have a full bladder for the test, and should not empty his/her bladder until after the renal ultrasound.
No anaesthesia or any special intervention is required during the procedure. A lead shield is placed over you to protect your reproductive organs. You lie on your back underneath the X ray machine, and remain still while the X-ray is taken. You may be asked to shift to other positions for more X-rays. These X-rays may be taken with you standing up or lying down – the X-ray technician will help position you against the film (which looks like a large board) so that the clearest pictures may be obtained. Usually pictures from both a front view and a side view are taken.
For cervical spine x -rays (neck X-rays), you will be instructed at times to open your mouth as wide as you can. This is so that your teeth are moved out of the way in some pictures and don’t block the view of the bones that are highest up in your spine. For chest X-rays, you will be asked to take in a deep breath just before each picture is taken.
The technician will leave the room or stand behind a screen while he or she controls the X-ray camera. Our technician requires no special intervention during the X-ray test. The image generated from X rays due to differential absorption by bones and tissues is taken on a cassette. You may resume all normal activity after the procedure.
The imaging procedure will not last for more than 10 minutes. However it will take the X-ray department between 20 and 40 minutes to develop the pictures from your X-ray. It will take additional time for a doctor to examine the X-ray and to decide how it looks. Typically you can get the results on the same day the X-ray was taken.
